Linux System for Cybersecurity
This course introduces the basic operations in major Linux distros for cybersecurity using both graphical interface and command line interface. Students will learn about the basic installation and configuration, file systems management, shell scripts, and user authentication in Linux systems. This course is the technical base for students to take cybersecurity major courses.
Course Material
This course allowed me to experience how the linux system operates, how it deals with the issue of security, and how attackers can take advantage of the system. My assignments for the class started with basic Linux learning such as using the command line and managing users. We then got into the security aspect of the system and learned how password were stored and the different ways attackers can try to get into accounts and the system as a whole.
