My name is Caroline Henry and I was born and raised in Bristow Virginia. I chose ODU because I liked the nursing program and thought the campus was beautiful. My hobbies include playing lacrosse and field hockey. I have leaved from this assignment that the Red Cross was a very influential organization during the Civil War and it was formed by a woman. Some fun things about me are that I really want to travel and I love be be outdoors!
My name is Ian Meese and I am currently a student at Old Dominion University (ODU). I am currently a Combat Medic in the Virginia Army National Guard (VAARNG). I also work for Lifecare Medical Transports as an EMT Basic. I am originally from Murrieta, California. I moved to Stafford, Virginia in June 2017. I chose ODU because they have one of the best nursing programs in the state and they are close to my VAARNG unit. I am interested in emergency medicine and trauma. My hobbies are hiking, camping, and small boat sailing.
My name is Gracie Wallace and I’m from the Eastern Shore of Virginia. I chose ODU because of the Dental Hygiene plan we offer and because my family is alumni. I like working, playing volleyball, and hanging out with friends. From this project I’ve learned interesting things about the Civil War like medicine and the impact the war had on those around them. I’m also a huge fan of college sports and playing video games

My name is Devyn Hotop and I am from Virginia Beach, Virginia. I chose ODU because I love the amount of opportunities ODU offers to ensure student success, and I heard great things about their nursing program! Outside of school, I enjoy running, playing soccer, playing my flute, and acting. From this project I got to learn what is was like for African Americans in medicine during the Civil War.
