Being in this course i have been able to understand how to ask someone what their name is . I can also ask what their favorite color is . I can not ask someone what is your birthday , where do you go to school , where do you live ,etc . I have been able to overcome this by going to tutoring a lot . I went to see my teacher during her office hours (before class ) to try and understand what I didn’t understand . Or i see her during her office hours to see what i missed on the day that i was absent . I did engrain in my brain my mistakes on my description paper that i had to turn into my teacher . I even went over the mistakes that my teacher told me that i need to study over zoom on my exam day . My strengths are i can quickly absorbs information , i can see the information that i am learning a lot about more than one and i can understand how to use it with people and in my assignments after 3 times .My strengths are that i can grasp the main idea very quickly if that something is shown to me more than once . My weaknesses is that i do not study the material that we are learning . When we review the material i don’t always know what they the teacher is talking about . Another weakness i have is that i don’t know when i should take notes and when i should just listen and jot notes down and put them in what is called a concept map .Avery transformative experience for me is when i was able to describe my self to my teacher about where i was born from , my name , my telephone number and where i am from .

Proyecto: 2-1

I can say that when I did the contrasena proyecto 4 , I had a difficult time coming up with ways to use estoy and tengo to describe myself. But , as I continued to work more and more on creating a sentence to talk about in the paper that i had to do to describe myself . I was also able to apply my corrections to my projecto 2-2 comentar for my Spanish project . What I was working on doing every time I had turned in my work ,(which had to be typed), was making sure that when i did my final copy of my work that it is printed out in a word document . I also learned that I need use use word document to add the accent mark over the word telephone . When i have to rewrite this sentence again I would say “Mi telefono es dos cuarenta “, I am learning how to apply my corrections by saying “Mi telefono es el .” My teacher also taught me how to incorporate “estoy” when I am talking about myself and conjugating the verbs in first person . I know that she constantly helps me remember when I need to study the weather verbs and tener verbs because I don’t know it or how to use it .

Exploring Culture

La elecion de una cerra universitara has helped me gain an understanding of cultural perspective because unlike American students Spanish and Latin american students have the right to choose their own major at 18 years (which could be during their first year of college or when they are high school seniors . It has also helped me to understand that in order for students to go to college in a country like Bolivia students must complete a high school degree (which is known as the bachillerato).I have also found to be interesting about the countries is that university-bound students who are in Argentina follow the polimodal “track” that happens during the last three years of high school . Argentina students also get to choose their own major .

These produces & practices help me better understand the values and attitudes in the Hispanic culture as well as my own because the Hispianic cultures are somewhat similar to how the Spanish and Latin Americans kids train and go to school to get their high school diploma .These products and practices challenge my worldview because it changed the way that i see people’s background culture . It also changed the way that i see Latin american’s culture when they are in high school .These perspectives revealed to me that no matter where you go to school your cultures teach you similar curriculum .This caused me to work through a stereo type that i had because i have had people tell me in a way that you need to work a little harder in Spanish because you can’t do it . An example would be i get ready to study for my exam that i have and i study and study and study and then i say okay i got it . But , then my classmate say you don’t got it , do it again . Then i say i got it and i am ready . Then my class mate told my just because yo’re black doesn’t mean you can learn Spanish .

Engaging in Communities

The value and importance of engaging in my immediate community and global community ist o gather the Latin american and Americans together under one community . And you would also want to help people take control of their schools and colleges and the communities that the colleges are in .I don’t really have any engagement within the communities so i can speak on their behalf .But , i can say that its important to always treat the community with the respect that he deserves .

Interpersonal Communication

When I did my video with Elijah I did have a hard time trying to not to read what i had wrote about myself my work , where i live ,etc .Before i had difficulty remembering information and like where i go to school .I overcame this difficulty by saying it over and over again to the person who i had soon began to be comfortablenwith .

I excelled at being in the video and saying what is going on (where i live , etc)be cause i had help from my teacher and my 2 classmates who helped me finished my video when i didn’t finish the previous assignment that i had not done already.I haven’t learned from this really . But what i would do differently next time is that i will stay on top of my work and when it is due . I will also ask for extra help with an assignment when i need it .

Interpretive Listening

When I did Preparar : Vocabulario 1 , I had listened to a presentation about personality traits How to know the difference between ellos , ustedes ,ud, el, elle , and tu was very hard to determine because the article helped me to determine how i would describe the persons personality traits .I didn’t overcome this difficulty . I didn’t really find anything interesting or compelling . I didn’t really have a takeaway from the listening experience . I have grown with each activity by being able to use these personality traits to try to describe myself to my professor .

Interpretive Reading

Nothing was really challenging or unclear for me . I didn’t really overcome this difficulty . What i found most interesting was that i didn’t really gain much knowledge because what i have gained in my brain doesn’t stay with me long enough to learn anything .I can say that i can say a little bit more things in Spanish.
