There are eight scientific principles, and these principles are also applied to cyber security as a social science. The eight principals are relativism, objectivity, parsimony, empiricism, skepticism, ethical neutrality, and determinism. These eight principals can be applied to cyber security as a social science. Relativism means that all things are related, in cybersecurity it means that one thing leads to another and can be traced back. For example, the more technology becomes a part of society the more cybercrime becomes popular. Another interesting principal is empiricism, which means that knowledge of social science can only be taken from empirical research. I think this one is really interesting because in order to respond to cybercrime, information that was found through empirical research is really important. I think determinism is really important as well, so that people can get a better understanding about how to deal with cybercrime.
