I think that there are many motives that play a role in cybercrime, but this is my list in order. First I think that money is the most important used reason from cybercrime. I believe that individuals feel the they are free to steal money because it feels like it easy and there is no victim being online. Number two would be political, with the world becoming more dependent on tech this one is a big threat to people. Three would be recognition, there are a lot of hackers who are skilled and seeking fame and use their skills to attain it. The fourth reason would be revenge, cybercrimes committed for revenge are common, probably for influential figures as well these days. Next is entertainment, there are people who hack for fun. After would be boredom, I feel this one is valid as well, because there are a lot of people who are skilled and hack for fun. The last is the multiple reasons, because there are other reasons we don’t know about.
