As I start this semester, I’m starting to realize that I may have made a mistake or two. Even though I’m only taking 6 classes right now (not all 3 credits), as I lay out my planner I see that there’s an overabundance of essays and writing assignments. Between my Engineering Recitation, Intro to Info Literacy class, my Intro to Technical Writing, and my Cell Bio class, there’s around 12-15 essays I need to write over the next few months. My problem isn’t the essays themselves, it’s the time management that I lacked last semester. Going from a set of classes I passed with poor time management and a small amount of work to a set of Writing Intensive classes which I know will require a large amount of work may have been a mistake.

On top of that, instead of cutting back on Band like I said I would, I’m signing up for more, Pep band, NCAA Tournaments (As long as our B-Ball teams make it), Symphonic Band, Tuba Ensemble, and possibly brass choir? I really need to learn to say no.

Time management is a skill I’m still learning, and my best learning method has always been “Trial By Fire”, so even though this semester may be hard to swallow, I know I will pass all my classes, and I will be getting A’s in all of my classes to the best of my ability.
