This image perfectly encapsulates how exactly viruses (COVID-19) are spreading throughout our body. Viruses cannot replicate on their own, so they take control of our cellular machinery, specifically our RNA replication sites with our mitochondria to reproduce the harmful DNA the virus brings in. It’s quite genius, the enemy within reproducing itself like a critical thought inside the mind of a writer.

Reflection

Cell Biology and Genetics proved to go hand in hand. One week I was learning about DNA replication in Cell Biology, the next I was going in depth for DNA replication in Genetics. Thanks to Cell Biology, I already had a good understanding of the Central Dogma when I went into my Genetics class to learn about it. This class connects with my Major of Marine Biology because it will help me produce reasons as to why certain environmental factors such as chemical alterations in a biome of the ocean produce specific results in the marine life. I look forward to applying my knowledge from this class to my career and my furthered education. As a student, this class taught me to value the smaller assignments and treat them like big assignments.
