There are a few main principles of science that relate to cybersecurity. These include:
- Determinism: Events such as human decision and actions are inevitable and outside of an individual’s control.
- ethical neutrality: Scientists and researchers adhere to ethical standards and protect the rights of individuals being studied.
- Skepticism: Questioning/ doubting knowledge claims and reliability.
- Relativism: All things are related to one another.
Each of these sciences play a role in studying cybersecurity, and could provide a better understanding on why groups or individuals commit cyber crimes. However, it is still unclear why cyber crimes occur.
