After completing the Social Media Disorder scale, I have a score of 4/9.  When I was reading the items in the scale, I think they portray an accurate assessment of the addiction of using social media. For example, one of the questions asked “ Regularly neglected other activities such as hobbies or homework because you wanted to use social media”, I found myself in this category, and I feel many others do too as well. I would assume that there will be many different scores around the world, and that is probably due to the culture and exposure to the internet. For example, in the United States the Social Media Disorder scale will probably be high because many children have early exposure to social media.
