Digital Forensics is (this is what the speaker’s definition is) the collection, analysis, and reporting of digital data, to be preserved and presented in a court of law. As a digital investigator, having an understanding on how and why a person commits a cybercrime is crucial. To truly prevent a cybercrime, it is important to trace back to the roots on why that individual committed the cybercrime. It is interesting that during my time as an accountant, there were no sources to teach about digital forensics. Nowadays, there are many certifications that teach about digital forensics.  Actually there are even free sources to teach about the subject.
