Workplace deviance has become much more common due to the use of cyber technology. There is much more room for deviance over the internet than there is face to face. There are plenty of circumstances where an employee who is unhappy or even recently fired can put the company in jeopardy. They could leak sensitive information to rival companies or dissuade potential customers from working with the company. Its more challenging to find the culprit of these types of things when it is over the internet because if it was in person they would likely be caught on CCTV. If an angry employee were to not do his job that day and tell someone there would be a window that they could potentially attack and breach the network. There are many ways cyber technology has created more workplace deviance opportunities and it is becoming more and more common as we get more technology based.
