Job Hunt Discussion Board

As in most cybersecurity jobs, one of the main things you need in this field is the ability to identify a threat. I was actually surprised when I found out there was an actual title called an Automotive Security Engineer. In the recent years the popularity of the dodge scat packs and hell cats has grown absurdly. Criminals would hack into the car system when the driver would lock or unlock the car with the key fob. These jobs prefer you to be able to script and be fluent with programs like “C.” Jobs also want you to be able to have a certification in CISP or OSCP they consider it a huge plus but it is not always required.

Another job I chose to look at was the job titled Mobile Security Engineer. As a Mobile Security Engineer you can expect to conduct test and simulations to see if the network is secure. They are supposed to find solutions to better help protect mobile phone users from hacks and security breeches. The hacking of mobile phones could lead to potential identity fraud , credit card fraud, and personal information leaks. For this job you are required to have a 4 year degree in computer science or a tech related field. This job wants you to have a understanding of how to use OWASP mobile. My biggest surprise was finding actually how many tech jobs there were, I always knew it was a deep field but I didn’t know there were so many job titles you could obtain.
