There are many types of fake websites, and they can be disguised in multiple ways. Three examples of fake website are: bankoffamerica.com, waImart.com, and netflix.net. The first is a fake website because they’ve included the intentional misspelling of the word “of” and using “off” instead. It’s something that is so simple to overlook and that is what they are counting on. The second website is a fake site because it replaces the lowercase letter “L” with a capitalized “I” and both I and l look almost identical and is nearly impossible to tell that it’s incorrect by just looking at it. The third website is fake because it uses an incorrect domain name. Netflix uses a .com domain, not a .net and that lets us know that it is a fake site.
