As technology continues to increase the world of cybersecurity will continue to evolve and it is up to the company to create a cybersecurity program to be able to keep up with the world as hackers and cyber attacks continue to evolve. In order to create a cybersecurity program a company would need to spend money on buying or improving on software and hardware, training new employees in their new cybersecurity program and how to become aware if any attacks were to be happening, and where to spend money if a cyberattack does occur and what a company would need to do to be able to repair or replace important parts. These costs are important for creating an efficient and proficient cybersecurity program as no company is safe from cyberattacks and while it will be a decent amount of money out of the company’s pocket to create and hire people for such a program it is a much better alternative than losing everything you have because you did not think you were ever going to get hacked whether it was because you thought your company was too small or did not have enough money to create a cybersecurity program. Having a cybersecurity program that excels in it’s purpose of protecting the company from cyberattacks and hackers is a long term investment as you would have to spend a lot of money to invest in new products and new employees who likely do not know what to do but in the end will likely end up saving you and your company if a hacker were to ever get inside somehow. With any kind of sensitive information a hacker could do anything from physically destroying your company’s products and taking all of your money making it so you and a lot other people do not have any jobs.
