This is an infographic I created that displays information I gathered during a very insightful conversation with my pen-pal Andy Goldberg, who is the Chief Marketing Officer for the New York Mets. For this assignment, we were allowed to conduct the interview in any way we saw fit, I decided to go for a more conversation based approach where I started with a couple specific questions, that then opened up different directions I could pursue in the conversation. I did not want Andy to feel like he was being interogated, rather that he was informing me of his current position, some details about his career, and a description of what he felt were the most important factors of his job, as well as some required skills to excel in his job position. Andy proved me with a ton of insightful information, some expected, but much of it was eye opening to hear about what his job entails. As a sports fan, as a baseball fan, as a die hard fan of the Mets, and has a person who is one of many who looks at his position as a dream job, my eyes were opened to just how exhausting and stressful this “dream” job is. That being said, he has the pinnacle of jobs in the sports marketing industry.
