Cyber risks are increasing all of over the world at a rapid rate in all different countries. Countries are starting to invest into cybersecurity because of the advanced technology that is coming and the amount of people learning this technology. United States is one of the top nations at risk for cyber security attacks. The reason being, is because the united states is a very big wealthy country. Another country that can be put up there with the united states is China. These countries both initiate attacks and receive attacks at a high number rate. Both countries suffer from various attacks but the most popular one being Phishing. United states and China are both in the top ten when of statistics from phishing attacks. Using emails or fake website links to get individuals to fill out private information. The United states is also a target for malware or ransomware. United states is in the top 2 in this category, while China is not affected too much compared to other countries according to statistics. But interesting enough, a high number of malware attacks comes from China that directly affects the United states. These statistics also are related to how much computer and internet use in the countries. The united states is much higher in cyber risk because of the amount of computer and internet use so freely and without security of the computer and networks. Data breaches are another big risk in both these countries. United States has more data breaches than China by a big amount. China data breach statistics have gone down a significant number since 2022. United states is at the top of the list of most data records stolen with more than a billion records stolen compared to china who has had three hundred million data records stolen.
