How do engineers make cyber networks safer?

Engineers make cyber networks safer because they use proper hardware and digital software to keep the network safe. Engineers have an important objective to make the system safe and can be trustworthy. Another factor is making sure they are able to implement these critical systems while making sure the system still runs smooth and efficiently. They look at what the network needs as far as security and then create a plan in which how they will secure the network according to company or person’s needs. One important factor in all of this is how much money the engineer is working with according to the client or company. The money plays a big factor into how secure the network will be and the amount of extra things he can put in place for the network. Engineers are able to add modifications to your network while still running, or they can add in a whole new upgraded network system. To make the networks safer, engineers can add hardware such as camera surveillance systems and monitoring systems. This helps maintain an open eye to the physical systems connected with the network to apply that extra layer of security. When dealing with critical infrastructure such as industrial, the engineer may add multiple operational modes such as manual, automatic, and semi-automatic to create a more strict network. This helps to create a more secure network by having everything customized to the clients needs and it also helps with running a large-scale system while keeping it secure. Engineers put focus on the protection of the company and system to minimize loss of important control or data. Engineers have to keep up with these systems because they become outdated over time and may have to replace the system protecting the network or add small modifications to keep the network working securely.
