How should we approach the development of cyber-policy and -infrastructure given the “short arm” of predictive knowledge?
The development of cyber policy and infrastructure should be looked at to be updated every year because of how important these are to a system. As technology grows and the people who adapt to it, there will be loopholes that are created and abused throughout every year. Cyber policies have to keep systems secure and make sure ethical situations are considered when updating these policies. The infrastructure also has to be updated and looked at each year to make sure everything is consistently secure and in order. Both of these go hand in hand with each other so they should be looked at and updated together. Cyber policies are put into place with enterprises, industries, or medical facilities to maintain a secure environment digitally and to prevent cyber-attacks from happening or using the technology unethically. This also helps with online users who use the technology within the business and the policy creates training and rules for how to use these technologies. Cyber infrastructure intertwines computing, networking, and servers to all connect securely for a safe system that can run efficiently. The infrastructure is important to keep the industrial, enterprise or medical facilities to keep running without having to be easily hacked or attacked by outside or inside entities. The development of cyber infrastructure is destined to change as it is an important measure to keep this safe and secure at all times. Thinking of future predicaments does help with improving the policies and infrastructure because it’s to stay ahead of the game instead of being behind and finding out the hard way that there needs to be changes made. If the policies and infrastructure fail, then it will cause the business to fall out because of loss profit, their integrity and name, and also their customer base will fall because of this.
