Review the NICE Workforce Framework. Are there certain areas that you would want to focus your career on? Explain which areas would appeal the most to you and which would appeal the least.
After review of the nice workforce framework, narrowing it down, three areas really appealed to me that I favored and three areas were unfavorable. under oversight and governance, cybersecurity instruction and cybersecurity legal advice, I have high interest in. within that same work role category, communications security (comsec) management i find very unfavorable. Also, under protection and defense, incident response really attracted me and under the work role category, cyberspace intelligence, did not have my best interests in mind in all subsets of job titles/fields, but in particular multi-disciplined language analysis.
I will elaborate my two choices I have no concern for at all. First, comsec, due to the fact I have first-hand working experience dealing with this category. As a department of defense employee, DoD, I have dealt all four tiers of security concerned with government and comsec has a heavy load of consequences and repurcussions if mishandled. The accountability portion to this in correlation to inventory is a very time-consuming and daunting task that I never want to experience on a daily basis again. I rather have partial oversight than direct accountability and control over such matters. secondly, after reading the duties and responsibilities of multi-disciplined language analysis, the comprehensive level of language literacy involved deterred me of any consideration. For all the reasons of the knowledge required for multiple language, cultural, and its interdiscliplines concerns, I do not fathom the necessitated intricacy of comprehensive requirement of knowledge in that field.
Although, through out my academic journey, I have discovered my continued interests in system adminstration as I have working experience in that job role and have not only performed exceptionally well, supplemented by an award, but do like the postition of administration in the sense of security. Least privilege, the fundamental root of deciding access, I enjoy these adminstrative decisions and tasks in implementing them to aid in contributions to network security. After taking two courses in odu and tidewater community college revolving legal topics in cybersecurity, my attention to this important subject has drawn a closer relationship with future endeavors in that field. Laws I find crucial to prevent chaos and disorder in direct relation to crime and punishment. This also draws into conjunction with incident response. thus, incidence response in cybersecurity, sparks my interest. It integrates in to the field of “firefighting” or “damage control” in network security. A very slow-pace and monotonous job field does not excite my fast-paced and high energy personality. The fact of indcidence response deals with timliness, urgency, investigation, and a spontaneous nature, has congruency with my personality.
