Journal Summary 3
Reflection eProfolio Experience
While taking note of all of my work on eProfolio, it was the best way to track my writing improvements from day 1 until now. The website has my writing work from my journal summaries to my editing checklists and other little details like my passion and about me. It is helpful to have all my progress in one place because it keeps me more organized, rather than my teacher having me and my classmates do all assignments on paper and returning it to us. For example, when I write an essay for class, it is required to do a rough draft and a final draft. The rough draft has to be printed out and brought to class for revision. The final draft must be submitted online, and soon after it will be graded online with some comments the teacher may have. Once I get feedback I track it down in the editing checklist and post it on the website to have it stored. In class, we were assigned four essays and for each essay we are required to do the same thing. At first, I did not think any of this would be helpful but now that we are basically done, I have noticed my writing has improved drastically. My teacher assigning a rough draft and having us post things on the website, I thought was unnecessary but in the end, it was worth it. The little things my teacher required the class to do, is the reason why my writing become better. In beginning of this course, I was not expecting to learn much. I thought we would write an essay about every week, the teacher would give feedback and it would just be graded. Whereas my teacher had things like the editing checklist where we can refer to and see our strengths and weaknesses. My improvement was made on my own but also with the help of my teacher in UNIV 150.
