Writing Reflection 2
Writing essay four was way easier than writing essay three. Essay three required me to explain my position on the topic of the article while also showing how the authors definition of luck was incorrect in my opinion. The essay was opinionated and those are the types of papers that I have struggled the most on and probably will continue to struggle with. Essay four I wrote about how a college readiness programme that I was a part of in high school required me to write papers that I feel is going to help me later in my college career. One of the hardest parts about writing this paper was putting enough detail so the reader would be able to understand what I was trying to get at. That is the hardest part in most of my papers. Adding details has gotten a little easier for me since taking university 150. As with all of my papers, the conclusion was the absolute hardest part. Finding a way to reiterate everything from the intro is difficult for me to do for some reason. That is something I will continue to work on. The easiest part of writing this essay was coming up with the structure of the paragraphs and deciding what to incorporate into each paragraph. I did not have any issues coming up with the initial content of the paragraphs because it was almost like telling a story. One thing I realized while writing was that I was more conscious about my grammatical errors. I only had two! That has improved since taking university 150 as well. Overall, I think I did pretty well on this essay. I was more aware of the essential elements needed and also more cautious of any grammatical and/or spelling errors. If I had to grade myself, I would give myself an A-.
