With the constant improving an updating of technology, it can be hard to keep up on its abilities. Technology is a major factor in the world we live in. Technology helps with closing communication gaps, providing information, educating, and even with providing a way of relaxation and enjoyment. Due to these above reasons, society has become extremely dependent on technology. With that being said, how should we approach the development of cyber-policy and infrastructure given the “short arm” of predictive knowledge?

As mentioned above, technology is advancing every day. Because of this, we may not know the exact technological abilities until we test it out. So how do we plan for that? In my opinion there is only so much we can do. So, with the limited knowledge that we do have we can only make basic assumptions and set forth basic plans on what we think would occur. So first would be to implement the same measures that there are with previous technological devices. It would be wise to have a location to back all of this information up to so that all research and outcomes do not get lost. Secondly, I think we should budget accordingly and purchase proper security measures. Whether this be physical or digital. There also needs to be s budget in place for any updates that are required or just in case the technology doesn’t work out the way it was expected to.

Another thing that I think is very important in the approach is to make sure that the policies are updated. Every idea starts out with a prediction on how people think it would work so I would start with looking at past documents and assessing the similarities and differences. For example, at one-point electric cars were just an idea. It was uncertain how for example “Tesla” would work until it was tested out for the first time. However, based off previous documents and blueprints, after some updates they were able to produce a working product.
