Writing Reflection Two
The past six weeks of UNIV 150 have taught me a lot of things. I had two essays I had to turn in over the course of the past six weeks. Also, I had to do another oral presentation and two more peer reviews. The last assignment I had to do was the midterm. With having all these assignments, I have seen an improvement in my writing. My essay I turned in got a lower grade however I fixed some of the problems I had in the prior one. In the next weeks to come I must start planning for the Final exam. I plan on doing that by starting to finish up my WordPress to prepare for my last reflection. All these things have happened in the six to twelve weeks of UNIV 150.
My journals have improved quite a bit. Each one that I got returned had less mistakes compared to my previous first five journals. I started to correct issues I had before, such as, missing comas, shift in person. All these little things added up to helping me get better at writing my essay I turned in during the past six weeks.
The midterm was probably the hardest assignment I had within weeks six to twelve. I struggled a lot with sentence structure errors. I missed many sentences that required a comma for it to not be a run on or a fragment. Also, I struggled with the shift in person just as I did in my previous essay from weeks one to five. All these lead to me not getting a great grade on the assignment. I plan on fixing a lot of these issues in the future for my next essay I have to turn in.
The most recent essay I had to do in those weeks was not a bad grade at all. I did not do as well as my previous essay, but it helped me learn for future papers I had to write. I started to get better at shift in person, but I am still struggling with using it properly. I also had a few spelling errors that lowered my grade. When I looked back at the essay, I noticed these were easy mistakes that wouldn’t be hard to fix. Overall it helped me find mistakes and showed where I improved and what I need to work on.
The past six to twelve weeks I have had a much larger work load to handle. I had to do two essays, one midterm essay, and one regular one. Then after those essays I had to turn in five journals. However, that work load all involved writing, which helped me improve for the future drastically. The essays helped me notice me reoccurring issues I had from previous ones, and my journals helped me notice my commas mistakes I had made. Each assignment has helped improve my writing.
