When it comes to Education our household takes it very seriously, and we strive to always have it as a priority throughout the week. As a student I am organized, punctual, and responsible. I try to constantly stay on top of my classwork but, it can become difficult when life is pulling you in different directions. I believe I am a very confident student, my main struggle is time management or a lack of time. Being a stay at home mom has its challenges and can make it very difficult to focus on school. Most of the time I end up doing classwork at the end of the day after my daughter is in bed. This leaves me with no down time but it does give me an opportunity to allow all of my focus be on classwork. The struggle is usually if anyone in the household is sick, my husband works 40 plus hours and usually comes home right in time for dinner. If my daughter is sick I am the main caretaker and this usually leaves me short on time to get anything else done. This is were my confidence as a student goes down because there is simply not enough time throughout the day to get everything done. I was surprised that my score was 37 for the General Self Efficacy Scale and I hope that one day it will be 40.
Mama needs some coffee

This photo was taken after night 3 of no sleep, my daughter was not only teething but she was also sick. This was my first week of classes and I was trying to catch up on my reading material. She did not want anything else but to be by my side. In order to get some work done I ended up reading her chapter one of organizational psychology, she was more interested in the pictures but it helped both of us just to sit on the couch that day. Most of my days revolve around my daughter and I try to improvise as much as I can to get things done.

Raya’s first time making friends

The imagine that I choose is one of my daughter Raya(in the red sweater) as she learns to navigate through the social dynamics of life. I choose this imagine for a few reasons ,first this is the way I feel currently as I begin learning about social psychology brand new and clueless. Secondly ,interestingly enough my daughter understood a few social norms without any direction. This was something she naturally picked up from her environment. She automatically knew to wait her turn when needing something, she shared her toys, and finally she was engaged with the other children. This is mind blowing to me as a mother because this was one of her first few interactions with children her age due to the pandemic. This automatically reminded me of chapter one and how our environment tends to influence our behavior.
