My name is Colbi Johnson. I was born in March 1998 in Rockville, MD. I was raised in the Town of Montross in my early years. I moved to Fredericksburg, VA when I was in middle school, and I graduated from James Monroe High School. I am a current student at Old Dominion University majoring in World Languages and Cultures with a concentration in World Cultural Studies and a minor in International Studies. I chose my major after attending a service at my home church, Lifepoint Church, in Fredericksburg, VA. We had a guest speaker. and she talked about the A21 Campaign. The A21 Campaign is a campaign to end modern-day slavery, human trafficking. I am interested rescuing human trafficking victims and ending human trafficking for good. I am also interested in participating in humanitarian work. I hope to one day start my own nongovernmental organization with the purpose of ending hunger, providing sustainability, and advocating for human rights in developing countries. I chose World Cultural Studies as my primary concentration because I have always been interested in other cultures, and I figured that I should not go into other countries around the world without knowing how to present myself in a respectful way without being offensive I also want to understand the people I meet with the hope of improving their lives.
