After looking over the course objectives, I believe that they will be beneficial to in many ways. My major is World Languages and cultures with a concentration in World Cultural studies and a minor in International Studies. In the near future, I will be working with people from all over the world as well as traveling to different parts of the world. Thus, I think it is essential to understand other cultures the best way I can. Understanding cultures includes understand their psychological processes. Therefore, the course objectives will help me better communicate with people from other cultures. The objectives will also be beneficial in problem solving as well as conflict resolution. The course objectives will also make cooperation with people from different cultures less difficult. My expectations for this course are to better understand the reason behind the decisions that people in other cultures make. Another expectation I have is that this course will provided a platform for me to be more open to other cultures and be less judgmental of their practices and guidelines for appropriate behavior.

    In general I hope to gain more knowledge about other cultures. I hope to better understand their psychological processes. Lastly I hope to learn how to work better with people from other cultures inside and outside the classroom. To be successful in this course, I am working on my time management skills. I plan to look over the notes I have taken to study for the exams in this course. I will use my critical thinking skills to do well on the assignments, archives, and blog posts for this course. Lastly I will ask questions when I need more clarification to better understand what is going on in this course and the reading for this course.
