Cyber technology has created more opportunities for workplace deviance by introducing the concept of anonymity. People tend to think that since no one will know who they are, they can participate in behaviors that would otherwise get them in trouble at the workplace. Such activities could include cyberbullying, accessing data that they aren’t authorized to view, or even use company resources that they are not privy to. As cyber technology continues to grow and advance, the threat of people engaging in anonymous workplace deviance will continue to grow.
