This semester has been a big learning experience for me. I\u2019ve definitely grown up a lot and learned how to multitask better. Balancing full-time work, school, and still having a social life has been a challenge, but I\u2019ve started to figure out how to juggle everything and make it flow. At the start of the semester, I wanted to meet new people and do well in my classes. I met the people I wanted to connect with, which was great, but I didn\u2019t do as well in my classes as I hoped. I passed 4 classes and dropped the others, so I know I need to try harder next semester. One thing I wish I knew 14 weeks ago is that it\u2019s okay to take a day off work or socializing to focus on school because getting behind is not worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My study habits this semester definitely dropped because I ended up dropping the one class that required serious studying. I didn\u2019t spend much time studying after that, but I know next semester will be different, and I\u2019ll need to work harder. Using resources like tutoring and Khan Academy helped me when I needed them, so I\u2019ll make sure to use them again. Next semester, my plan is to work ahead and not let myself fall behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even though my classes this semester seemed different, they were all connected because they focused on medical fields. Each class showed different roles and career paths in the healthcare world, which helped me explore my options. For example, I learned about nursing and laboratory science, which both interest me as possible backup majors. Nursing appeals to me because I like the hands-on approach, and it seems like it would be exciting. Laboratory science is also interesting because I love science and the idea of doing a little bit of everything in that field. Having a parallel plan is important because it gives me a backup if my first choice doesn\u2019t work out. Both nursing and lab science still fit into the medical field I want to be in, so no matter what, I\u2019d still be working toward a career I\u2019m passionate about.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
