“First of all, the teacher in me NEVER even notices any typos you
might make, so no worries.

Second, I can’t believe that you attached that photo of the two of us because I was just looking at this same photo morning, which hangs on my bedroom wall, & thinking of you & how much I miss you. I loved it when you were at Moravian & would come to stay with us. You are so special to me, you sweet, sweet young man. I wish you were closer in proximity.

Anyway, your message was so sweet & it touched my heart. You are such an old soul Connor, with great insight. It made me weep. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love you. Pappy & I plan to see you all much more this coming year. Screw everything & everyone else!!!!!” -Suzy Tiernan

Be it a combination of constantly moving, spotty history at my last college, and the complete ignorance to keep track of my own “achievements”, I have decided on something different. The text above is from my grandmother, whom essentially is my hero. Her resilience through any and all hardships is staggering. She has every right to be resentful towards the world, yet she isn’t. In fact, I have never known wiser, more compassionate and loving person in my 24 years of life. She wrote that, in response to me effectively just telling her about herself. I would take that message over any past achievement.
