In today’s world, Cybersecurity is a practice that is vital no matter the country. It can be argued that in some it is more valuable than others. Considering Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting computers, phones, networks, and things of that nature, with a growing world and mountains of information being poured into it, it is important that risks are minimized regardless of the country that you are in. In the US, cyber attacks happen nearly every day. With the improvements to technology and greater funding for the protection of the information, attacks are easier for people and companies, large or small, to deal with. Through a google search, I was able to find the most powerful countries when it came to cybersecurity. The list goes as, 1. The United States, 2. China, 3. The United Kingdom, 4. Russia, 5. Netherlands, 6. France, 7. Germany, 8. Canada, 9. Japan, 10. Australia. The list was made by a group of scholars from Harvard and gives insight into what developments are being made by each country. When comparing the Us to other countries, I believe that one of the biggest reasons behind the US being so strong in the cyber department has to do with the laws that were created. The US government has made very strict laws that are enforced about what can and can’t happen on the internet. Not only that, but they have also used media as a tool to increase self-awareness among Americans about different types of security attacks. Other countries like China and the UK are just as protected because such laws and understanding are also in place. Reasons why other countries would struggle would just come down to whether or not they have good enough laws set in place and then after that, it comes down to whether or not they have enough facilities
