Cyber policies set the standards for any acceptable behavior that occurs over any network. Whether it is social media or web browsing, there are set standards that are meant to be kept to. As time goes on, it is simply important to continue to update and tweak these policies to continue to have regulation over the internet. These policies that are in place address any threats that may arise and outline the rules of engagement on networks. When discussing improving said policies with a “short arm” of predictive knowledge, I believe it’s more important to think of issues as they come and improve in places that are mainly necessary. Policies and infrastructure have to be consistently evaluated and improved for them to remain strong enough to withstand any attacks. This means as vulnerabilities are discovered and potentially exploited, those should be worried about more than anything. With the types of attacks that hackers use constantly getting even more and more evasive and intrusive, it is important to ensure these systems are up to date and are properly being maintained regularly. There will be many more available opportunities to improve policies when vulnerabilities are taken care of and eliminated. This will ultimately help with providing greater protection. It is important to constantly keep systems updated and uphold the strength of a network systems infrastructure. If the Infrastructure is at risk, it can cause troubles with any information that is stored and lead to a straight downward spiral. Without secure infrastructure, there will be mountains of risks that a system could become victim to. When issues with the infrastructure are found, it is very critical to make sure that the vulnerabilities that were made apparent are dealt with in a quick manner in order to create a more secure system going forward.
