I think that I achieved the course outcomes and managed my time accordingly to be successful in this class. I don’t think my attitude changed, however, I have always had an open mind about this subject. If I took this class again, I would spend a little more time studying so I could improve my test scores just a little. Over the last semester I have grown academically by staying on top of all my work while taking 17 credits, having a job, as well as playing a club sport. I have gained knowledge on self enhancement and how to increase it in different situations.

the top 3 things that i have learned in this course that are in my blog entries are how music actually plays a huge roll in relationships and socializing. I learned about emotional intelligence and self regulation when it comes to ones own emotions. And I learned about women’s and mens intentions in relationships when it comes to being intimate. Learning about how men and women act before, during, and after relationships when it comes to being sexual can relate to assignment takeaway 4 and the love test. Having to take that test can try and help determine someones intention’s rather than waiting to find out what their true intentions are later.

It is sad that men lie about their intentions just to try and sleep with a woman. Honesty is very important but in todays society and with men being the way they are with their hormones, it makes it difficult to trust or believe anything they say. this article makes some interesting points about before, during, and after relationships when it comes to sexual acts. And thinking about it I find a lot of what this article talks about to be true. In regards to what men to to anger women there is a long list. Some of which include poor communication kills, lying, not listening, and not being attentive. Some things women do to anger men include planning everything out, being too detailed, and sometimes controlling and emotional.

Our emotions are inside of use, making it possible for us to control them. self regulation is. There is rational thinking and emotional feeling for people and they can be both because they are connected. Emotional intelligence is getting a hold of ones emotions. It is important to be able to understand ones emotions but it is also important to have control over them. To me, emotional intelligence is being able to dig deep inside and understand your emotions It is important to empathize and sympathize with ones self, but also with others. To improve emotional intelligence, during difficult situations one can practice controlling their emotions and focusing on the positive aspects of the situation.

The video reiterated how some ads come off when it comes to women. It seems like women have to up keep this image of having the perfect body, perfect hair, smile, and much more. When in reality, we all have flaws. No one is perfect, and no one will ever be perfect but that is no what society thinks for women. Which is very unfortunate because it leads to so many issues for women self esteem and even eating disorders as the video mentioned. Society has held women up to a certain standard, and if they can’t reach it, they are not good enough.

Picture A is a representation of a credible source. Kendall Jenner is a well known celebrity who has admitted to having trouble with acne for as long as she can remember. So when you put the face of someone like her on a product, people are going to want it. It makes it seem like the product i trust worthy due to the fact that she is so well known and has been so open and honest about her struggles. Picture B is a representation of a bad advertisement. It is a twisted advertisement that looks like it was from the 1900s. Doctors in todays time would tell viewers that over all, no matter the brand, cigarettes are awful. But this advertisement is twisting the truth to try and sell their product. Picture C is a representation of an attractive source due to the fact that Chip and Joanna Gaines are well known for their interior designing and their show, Fixer Upper. They are trust worthy and the pieces they put together are so aesthetically pleasing, they really grew into a big hit. The picture is an advertisement for their silos in Waco Texas and it is such a nice clean cut picture that it makes viewers want to go visit.

Over all, I am happy with my tests results. I don’t really write too many notes, I mainly read the text and review that. I have key terms highlighted so they are easy to spot and I just turn to the page and kind the term I’m looking for. However, if I find myself struggling more on a certain subject, I write notes on that subject. Due to the fact that I am pleased with how my exam score came out, I dot not think I am going to change any of my study habits. I do like how I was able to go back and look at the questions I got wrong on this exam, other classes I do not have that opportunity so I think knowing what I got wrong will help me in the long run.

Music and relationships coincide, without a doubt. Music allows people to connect on a different level and to express things that can’t necessarily be put into words. Having the same taste in music makes conversation easier as well as relatability. Most people I spend my time with have similar music tastes with mine. Music is everywhere, it is inevitable. Car rides, concerts, restaurants, stores, everywhere. It is a type of social outlook. If someone doesn’t like the same music as me, I have noticed that it makes things oddly difficult especially if I want to go to a concert, or we are driving in the car together and have no similar music tastes. Sometimes it can be an awkward situation. Overall, music is great way to determine similarities in people and realize who i can actually connect with on a deeper level. I use music to express how I am feeling, especially when I cannot exactly express it myself.

The type of student I want to be is a successful one. Since that is what I want to be, that is what I am going to be. In order to accomplish being a successful student, I have to work at it. If I need to get work done, you can find me at the library. I have recognized if I am in the comfort of my own home, usually it is very easy for me to get distracted and stop working on assignments or homework. Although I am not the perfect student, I have a fairly high self efficacy. I know if I need to get something done, I will do it. In order to increase any doubts I have about my self efficacy, I would just need to try harder and not procrastinate. Procrastinating is probably my biggest down fall because I tend to put things off until the last minute. That is the most important thing I need to work on. The GSE results gave me a 31. The highest is 40 so that is pretty high on the scale.

The course objectives on the syllabus will help me in the future because it’s is important to try and understand how and why some people react differently in certain situations. Human interaction is inevitable. Also, learning behavior will help me be able to read someone a little better in the future. I expect to learn a lot about how to socialize in this course because I think everything that is going to be taught is important for everyday life. There is constantly going to be human socialization and being able to understand why or how some people react the way they do, or say the things they say will always be tool to use in the future to sway conversations or situations a certain way. This should be a required course for most degress that require daily human interaction. I hope to gain a better understanding of people in the future. As far as strategies go, I will definitely just have to read the textbook as well as just study my notes to be able to gain any knowledge. Also, I am going to try and apply what I am learning to real world situations. Applying what I learn always helps information stick in my brain.
