Artifact #5: Module 3

The very first module that I did for this semester was about do opposites attract or does similarity  lead to attraction. I went around and asked people which one had larger effect on the attraction process. A majority of people said that similarity leads to attraction but being opposites helps keep the attraction going later in the relationships.

Artifact #4: Module 5

Module 5 was about self-enhancement and other-enhancement. Self-enhancement is having a more positive view of yourself and making yourself better, such as dressing more professionally. Other-enhancement is trying to make the other person is complimenting the other person making them like you in turn.

Artifact #3: Module 11

Module 11 was about how being selfish and selfless can effect your mood and how you feel about yourself. Your mental state is effected by what you do. If you do a good deed without expecting something in return you tend to be a happier person. The inverse is also true. When you always expect things and are full of yourself, you’re less happy in life.

Artifact #2: Module 6

In module 6’s item to archive I had to pick 5 different traits that I felt represented me. It helped me see myself through the eyes of others and the effects of my actions upon others. I chose a mix of positive and negative traits such as being humorous and polite for positive ones. For my negative ones the biggest one was being bossy and telling others how to act and behave.

Artifact #1: Module  4

My favorite module was number 4. The module was about how “we’re scaring ourselves to death”. The news reports in such away that bends the statistics and makes crime seem much higher than it really is. The elderly were terrified to go out as they thought they could be attacked or worse if they went out. In actually teens were at a much higher risk of getting hurt than the elderly were.
