Capture Campus

Club Fair! I went to the club fair in search for different school organizations I could join. I ended up signing up for the Filipino American Student Association and the Vietnamese Student association.
This picture was taken at the Turkey bowl tournament hosted at George Mason University. Turkey bowl is a flag football tournament where the Vietnamese Student Associations (VSA) from different schools participate. Considering this was my first time playing flag football I put a lot of time and effort into practicing and was considered MVP and most improved by the coaches. Overall, this was a really fun experience and helped me make some new friends!
This picture was taken at the Filipino folklore story telling event! I really enjoyed this event hosted by the Filipino American Student Association (FASA) because I was able to learn a lot about my culture as well as hear the interesting stories told in the Philippines.
This picture was taken at the BMC family reveal dinner for the Vietnamese Student Association. BMC stands for bố mẹ con which means dad, mom, and child in Vietnamese. The BMC program is a mentorship program and is a good outlet to make new friends as well as receive guidance from someone who is a bit older than you.
This is a picture of the bears me and my friends got to make at an event hosted by SAC. This event we were provided unstuffed bears and a vacuum sealed bag of stuffing and were able to build the bears!
This picture was taken from a volleyball tournament hosted by two clubs that I am in FASA and VSA. This tournament was a lot of fun and was a new experience for me because I have never played volleyball before. However, I enjoyed taking on a new challenge!
Like the BMC mentorship program this picture was taken at the reveal dinner for the Filipino Student Association. This is called the Kyua, Ate, Ading program which in Tagalog translates to big brother, big sister, and younger sibling.
This picture was taken at the gym with me and my friends! I love utilizing the gym and other resources at the student recreation and wellness center. I go to the gym at least three times during the week as well as attend meetings with my counselor !
This picture was taken at a FASA social night! This event gave me the opportunity to meet new people I also met my two close friends from this event!

This picture was taken at one of the Old Dominion University home football games. Going to football games this semester was so fun despite the cold! I am looking forward to attending other athletic events.

At this event there were different guest speakers from different subjects of study informing us about the diverse areas of study Old Dominion University offers. This was a great opportunity to learn more about our majors or learn about new ones.
This picture was taken at the first ODU event I went to with my boyfriend! We watched the movie “Inside Out 2” on the lawn in front of Perry Library. I believe this event was sponsored by the SAC.
This was the first FASA event I attended and it was a karaoke night!
