In the reading “The Online manifesto” Something that gets brought up is the dissolution of Modernity. Modernity is basically a way of thinking in today’s world or modern world. If we keep our minds in one specific time-period, we won’t progress as a society whether technology is involved or not. Progress in technology is something that will never stop so it is important that we consistently take measures to make sure we be as sensitive as possible to things like security and infrastructure. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately this is mostly in the hands of politicians who do not know the extent that development technology takes as well as the repercussions if not taken care of properly. Take a person from the 1970s and they will have a very different idea of society than we do. A lot of this can be attributed to technology and this will always be a thing that progresses. I think with anything the develops we h=should do our best to update and make sure things stay up to date. Ethics is something that changes as time goes on and there’s no changing that. What we deemed right or politically correct twenty to thirty years ago is not the same today. Just like how we did not have the internet or social media or the ability to send pictures and messages to each other through our phones so easily many years ago. We have adapted and made laws and regulations and updates to try and make things better for the public. The public is only becoming more and more technology literate. This means our jobs are only going to get harder as time goes on. Society is technology based now and social media is a big part of a lot of our lives whether we like it or not.
