Positives
- Security- Computers are an amazing piece of technology that are used for pretty much everything in modern day life. Whether it’s at a restaurant or playing games on a device or ordering tickets for a movie we all use computers to a certain extent. With computers we can keep surveillance on certain things a lot more efficiently now with computers. Security in general has to do with cameras and surveillance which all is controlled by computers.
- Organization- Having a computer is like a big binder. If you use it right it can be easily organized so the correct things can be accessed easier. This way they can be used to identify threats and intrusions. Computers are also a great way to help people learn about cyber security and organization is key to keeping things easy to access by the user.
- Maintenance- Maintenance may seem like a negative but it really is a positive. It keeps people on their toes and therefore make it a lot harder for malware to become a real threat.
Negatives
- Cyber Threats- Cyber threats are probably the biggest problem with computers. People will always try and intrude and take information. Cyber threats can cause millions of dollars of damage to companies and individuals. This is why the 3 things above have made it easier on computers.
- Public Information- Public information is a good thing but sometimes people can take major advantage of that. Information on the internet is always a big problem when involving malicious individuals.
- Private Information- Just like public information it can cause a lot of problems for individuals and companies. Private can be even worse because it can involve things such as credit card information or social security numbers as well. This is why it is important to make sure your computers are always up to date and safe.
