I have been interested in the general field of technology since I was a little kid and I have been wanting to work with technology and make some kind of difference in the field. I find the usefulness of technology fascinating, and over time I began to discover that not everyone can be trusted with the power that comes with the internet and our intertwined technology. Originally, I wanted to be a computer science major because I believed that creating new programs and technologies was what I wanted to do with my life, but the more I looked into the field the more I felt that I should be the one protecting it. One of mans greatest feats is the creation of the internet because it allowed for a much simpler life and made things that used to be annoying or tedious. I also am interested in coding and all the things you can do with code. throughout high school I took several classes in coding and computer classes and I have two certifications in coding, one in HTML with CSS and in Python. Along with those coding certificates I also took a class in building computers. I believe that my interest in cybersecurity peaked when in my senior year of high school when I met my teacher for my computer systems technology class at my school. My class was a progressive class and the final class that you could take was a cyber security class and unfortunately, I could not attend that class, but my teacher would talk to us about the class often and it intrigued me. I talked to my teacher a lot about his cybersecurity class and what they learned and what they mostly did. He was the main reason that I decided to change over to cybersecurity. After his class I realized that I wanted to be a cybersecurity major.
