One of the majors that is provided at Old Dominion University in Computer Information Science. Cyber Security can relate to Information Science by the form in which store the information gathered. Along with storage they can also be related by the way that Cyber Security protects the information or data gathered so that it can not be stolen or given to the wrong person. Another one of the majors that is offered at Old Dominion University is Engineering. Cyber Security acts as the medium between new scientific discoveries in the Engineering field and the public use. Another one of the majors provided at Old Dominion University is Criminal Justice and the ways in which Cyber Security relates is in solving crimes and answering questions like who is committing the crime, why are they committing the crime. Also, a major that can go hand in hand with cyber security is philosophy. The cyber security side would look into such things as what information is meant to be private and what is not, or how do we balance making a profit and serving the public goods and need. Psychology is another major that is used in cyber security, such as, knowing who to trust with information and when to commit to decisions. Victimology Is used finding out why victims don’t report, is it because of shame or that they didn’t know that a crime had been committed. Cyber security can be used in chemistry or biochemistry in that cyber security can protect the new information that these fields discover from the public knowledge such as new medications that haven’t been tested or new chemicals that shouldn’t be known by everyone. Sociology and cyber security can relate in that cyber security will look to see why people want to attack people or businesses information.
