I believe that the internet(mostly movies) makes hacking completely different than it actually is. It throws out random terms without ever actually elaborating on them or letting them have any relevance to the story. I believe that social media also makes the public think that its only technical skills and lacks any social factors. Cyber security is one of the more social fields but movies and the internet make it seem like cybersecurity professionals are antisocial.
