I recently read an article in The Wall Street Journal titled, “Play-Set Maker Needs Workers, but They Are a Hard Sell”. It was a very interesting read especially considering the global pandemic that we are currently experiencing. In this situation there is a lot of uncertainty around the economy, jobs, and when things will go back to normal. Here, the author Dave Sebastian talks about the struggle of trying to hire people when unemployment is too good of a deal for some people. Small businesses are not able to keep up with the wages to pay employees when the competition is the government.
