Any organization can benefit from the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. The framework was
designed as a set of guidelines, and best practices to help organizations manage and improve
their cybersecurity systems to avoid risks of invasion or damage. This can help organizations in
different ways, offering them more resources and solutions in case a potential risk occurs.
For example, the framework helps improve organizations’ security posture by implementing
better security controls to help protect the organization from various threats. Another example,
of how the framework is beneficial for organizations, is its ability to help organizations develop
incident response plans so that they can respond quickly and more efficiently. If I had a
business or organization, I would use the NIST framework. I would mostly use risk management
and enhanced incident response. The framework would help my business or organization
increase the awareness of cybersecurity from a customer/investor standpoint, it will look like
the safer and more professional option.
