Journal #5 Lifetime Goals Time and Money
My career goal for the future is to join the law enforcement police academy, become a police officer, and rise above the ranks and be given the job title Special Weapons and Tactics, or S.W.A.T. officer. With this career goal in mind, I prefer to work in a fast-paced working environment so that I can go pass my limits and do a better job of saving lives. From my research I found that it was optional to obtain a college degree. I have met with a S.W.A.T. officer, and he told me that he didn’t have a college degree when he became a S.W.A.T. officer. However, my criminal justice teacher, Mr. Jackson, told me that having a college degree will help me move up the ranks much more quickly than if I didn’t have one. For that reason, I made the choice to go to college and get my Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
