Major: Nursing 

Why did I choose this major? I want to help those around me and make an impact in my community. I also chose this major because I want to help those in their time of need, along with helping to reassure and comfort their families while taking care of their family member. When I was about eight years old, I was getting a shot and at the time I was scared of needles, but the nurse that was administrating my shot helped me through it and taught me ways of coping through it. From that point on I realized that I wanted to be apart of a group that was able to help children and people in similar situations. 

Experience in Nursing: I do not have experience in Nursing, however I have volunteered with CHKD. While volunteering at CHKD I volunteered in the Physical Therapy Unit. The first half of my shift involved paper work and the second half involved being on the floor and interacting with patients.
