I have multiple reasons as to why I am studying cybersecurity technology. It is a great way to ensure personal security in world where massive digital infrastructures are growing to be important to understanding. I have also explored the ideas of ethical hacking and penetration testing. The idea of it is very exciting to me and I cannot wait to try it. Another big reason I am studying it is because I will ensure a stable career my whole life. Jobs in the cybersecurity industry have been growing and there are not enough people working them yet and they pay very well. Companies need their businesses to be secure from hackers so they can safely do well in the world. Cybersecurity is just like security in the real world, but it might be even more important to some people. I want to study cybersecurity so I will not have to worry about my own security online. I have so many questions that I want to discover and answer, like how easy is it really to hack someone’s life if you find their email and password to everything? With the constant need for more cybersecurity workers, there also comes the evolving nature of hackers. Different types of malware and cyberattacks require consistent innovation from cybersecurity workers, and that is the person I want to be. I want to study cybersecurity to invent solutions to problems that people will not have until after I have the solution for them. So many people have no idea what hackers can do to a person once they get access to their computer or phone. Cybersecurity was obviously not as relevant before we had the technology that we have now, but it is very important now and will continue to be a vital part of society. I already love computers and the internet. I have worked in the security field in person as well. I would love to combine the two fields and learn everything there is to know about cybersecurity.
