- Many ethical issues could occur if someone is storing information about other people in an electronic saving file and that file got hacked. One of which would be the persons health history would be potentially realesed into the world which is exteremly private information. An example of how this could go bad would be if someone had a form of cancer but decided it was best to keep it to them selves and family members and that information got out into the public than that person now has not control over what he or she wants to share with the world whether only people take interest in it or not it should still be up to the person who it is affecting if they want to share with the world or not. Another example of an ethical issue could be if a persons bank statements got out. Bank statements are widely considered to be a personal piece of information that only the person who is involved should know. If hacked and made public this could potentially cause trouble for the individual in multiple ways. A third ethical issue could be if a persons address got out this would be extremely important because it would make the person feel violated and could potentially put the person or their family at risk of harassment or harm from unknown individuals. Another reason why this could be bad is because if a person address got out they might feel like their sense of peace was taken from them if everyone knew where that person lived and where they could find them and their families. The fourth way an ethical issue could arise would be if a persons identity information got out such as social security number or license ID number. This could leave the person to a greater risk of identity theft and could result in the person losing all their assets and job. This could make it extremely difficult for the person to get their life back on track and could result in them losing everything.
