After reading the SAMPLE DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION there are a few ways it can relate to some economic theories. An example of one it can relate to is the Classical economic theory. According to CYSE 201s Module 11, classical economic theory is “ based on ideals of supply and demand and belief that the government should not interfere in the economy” (Duvall). In the reading it says that the “he attackers gained access to customer information including payment card numbers as customers made transactions on the platform provider’s systems, and had access to historical payment card data” (“Home”). This also means this business was running supply and demand services. The consumers were the supplier in that scenario. Another economic theory that can relate to this reading is Marxian economic theory. According to  CYSE 201s Module 11, “Marxian economic theory – those with power (e.g., those with a lot of money) exploit those without power (e.g., those who are poor) for economic gain” (Duvall). In this scenario the hackers found the company as vulnerable and took advantage of them.  

When viewing this letter and seeing how it can relate to social sciences there’s a couple of ways. One way it can relate to social science is viewing it from a hacker perspective and economically. The hackers hacked the companies system to gain access to the customers bank card information. When they gain access to their bank card information it could allow them to have financial gain. Following that another example of how social science appears in this letter is by sociology. Sociology in simple terms is the study of human behavior and society. How sociology relates to this letter is the steps the business is taking to provide the customer with information about what is happening in science. It’s their fault they were hacked and the customer information is being analyzed.
