When understanding the Principles of Science, you can see how it’s related to cybersecurity. The Principles of Science has seven categories that it is broken down into. Each of these categories has a different aspect it stands for/ role it plays. The names of the categories are Relativism, two Objectivity, Parsimony, Skepticism, Ethical Neutrality, and Determinism.
One example of how the Principle of Science is related to cybersecurity is when looking at relativism. The meaning of relativism is that all things are related. So when you take the meaning of that and try to make sense of how it’s related to cybersecurity it could be easy. Meaning a change of a software/system can lead to another change in another system. Another example according to the modules 2, technological systems led to the development of cyberspace.
Another example is when viewing determinism on the Principles of Science. The meaning of determinism is that caused or behavior that influences the event. The way we would use this in cybersecurity is when trying to figure out what led/caused the cyber incident. A cybersecurity person could also use this to help figure out what led to the behavior of the cyber incident.
So in just those two terms there are many reasons for how the Principle of Science is related to cybersecurity. With that being said, you could use cybersecurity in the other five terms too. In conclusion, cybersecurity and the Principle of Science are both very important and related.
