When understanding Cybercrime and criminal justice they most often go hand and hand. But first you have to have a clear understanding of both cybercrime and criminal justice. Cybercrimes are crimes committed/done in the cyber world. For example, if someone was to bully someone on social media. This example is also an example of cyberbullying, which is a crime. Criminal justice is justice develiver to someone that has been accused of a crime or committed a crime. An example of this is when looking at law enforcement and how they deliver justice. By understanding both definitions it is pretty much clear to see where it overlaps. Since cybercrime are crimes done in the cyber world. When the person or group gets caught they will be delivered criminal justice. Some examples of it overlapping are when looking at hackers. In the cyber world, people call them black hats. Black hats are illegal hackers that steal information and data from individuals, companies, businesses, and etc. When black hats do they have committed a crime. If they get caught they would be served justice for their actions. Which is where criminal justice comes in and overlap. Now when looking at how this overlap relates to the other disciplines discussed in this class is when looking at the crimes committed. Also when looking at how the cyberfield is growing becoming much more dangerous with the growth of computers. I believe that the cyber field is going to stop growing. It still has so much potential and people are picking up on it. But we the people have to also understand that the more it grows the more dangerous it’s going to get. With more dangers it gets I believe that the government is going to get more involved. Which were also criminal justice will come in.
