My name is Quintin Sumpter and I am a Cybersecurity major at Old Dominion University. I chose Cybersecurity as my degree choice because of how the world is evolving to being centered around technology. The cyber world is constantly advancing and growing worldwide playing a significant part in society through civilians, businesses, and the government. The new advancements also make holes for new forms of infiltration as there are many people looking to exploit any and all secret information to exploit one another. These exploits can be used to blackmail others to receive profit or simply cause complete chaos in society. The internet is a world I wish to explore to increase my knowledge of what is unknown to me while also better protecting myself and others from these dangerous threats that can strike at any time.
