CYSE 201S – Journal Entry 11

As a cybersecurity analyst, it seems like you have to be extremely well at talking to others, however, not necessarily highly social. You will be required to talk to people over the phone, but the job can be done mainly by yourself, and sometimes even at your own home. The pay is very nice, however, they may ask you to work a graveyard shift, as the video suggests. This also goes to show that it is not a bad job for someone who likes to work alone, as most people will not be out during the night. You could also work from home if you have a graveyard shift, since some companies do not have a facility open that late. A degree is helpful, as well as a security + certification, and if you want to network there are a lot of opportunities for experience outside of a typical job (such as working for a church).
